Lady Pirates finish first

Class A State Track and Field round up

The Polson girls' track and field team finished first in the Class A State Track and Field meet this weekend in Laurel. Polson sat in front of second-place Hamilton by 31 points. Ronan finished 11, two points out of cracking the top ten.

On the boys' side, Polson finished 10th with 19 points, two out of ninth. Ronan scored eight points.

Highlights:

-Polson's Anna DiGiallonardo took second in the 100

-Polson's Mesa Starkey took second in the 3200

-Polson's Nicole Davey took second in the 300 hurdles

-Polson took second in both the 400 and 1600 relay

-In the discus, Polson's Loni Havlovick took first with a throw of 130-0

-Ronan-St. Ignatius' Adessa Durglo took third in the high jump, with a distance of 5-2, and third in the long jump, with a jump of 16-3

-Polson's Colter Bull took fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:00.9

-RSI's Jordan Franklin took fifth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 41.98. In the high jump, he placed third with a height of 6-0.
