PABLO, Mont. - Freshman Jake Owsley had 18 points and five rebounds as the third-ranked North Idaho Cardinals defeated the Salish Kootenai Bison 96-73 in a nonconference game on Tuesday.
"I thought Jake came out well tonight," NIC coach Jared Phay said. "We knew he had it in him, but he really showed his potential tonight."
NIC had five players in double figures in the game.
"We were able to get the ball inside the key and use our height advantage,"
Tyrone White added 17 points, followed by Nick Fromm with 16 points and four rebounds for NIC (7-0), which travels to Central Valley High to face the Community Colleges of Spokane on Thursday.
