ST. IGNATIUS — The Mission Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-1 on the season after defeating Deer Lodge last Thursday, 3-1.

“I’ve never seen the girls play together so well as a team,” Mission head coach Kendal Anderson said. “I’ve coached here for three years and it’s the best I’ve seen the team play.”

The Lady Bulldogs had the homecoming atmosphere around them and with the 25-10, 25-22 and 25-15 scores, they accomplished the feat of beating everyone from District 6-B with the exception of Loyola-Sacred Heart.

“I think it’s huge for the girls,” Anderson said. “I don’t think they realize how good they are as a team.”

Their attack was balanced as senior Adessa Durglo had 10 kills, senior Sierra Scott had eight and junior Jennifer Larsson had seven.

“It’s so nice we don’t have to depend on one player,” Anderson said.

Senior libero Mackenzie Trudeau had 19 digs and two aces in the game and sophomore setter Loren Erikson had another excellent night quarterbacking the team with 26 assists.

Mission will play Darby at 4 p.m. tonight on the road before hosting Ronan on Saturday at 4 p.m.
