MVCA gets
season started
The Mission Valley Christian Academy is getting into the bulk of their soccer schedule for the Montana Christian Athletic Association this year.
The boys’ team lost to Helena at home last Friday 5-1 and Foothills last Saturday 6-1. Currently on the season they are 0-3 in the MCAA.
Even though they’re playing other high school kids, some of MVCA’s athletes are very young.
“A lot of the kids on the team are middle schoolers, but they have a lot of skill,” MVCA headmaster Jason Edwards said. “I think it’s tough when you have players that aren’t as big or strong.”
The girls lost to Chrysalis last Saturday 4-2 and are 0-1-2 on the season.
The boys’ team will play Helena Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at home and then Montana Academy at 1 p.m. on Saturday at home.
The girls’ team will play Montana Academy at 11 a.m. on Saturday at home.
