(New) Home of: Lindsey Matkovich and Brittany Northrup
POLSON - As Lake County says goodbye to vacationers and visitors alike, the Lake County Leader says hello to two new faces in our office.
Lindsey Matkovich and Brittany Northrup join the Leader staff as we gear up for fall sports and winter fun.
Matkovich joins the Leader staff as the new graphic designer and salesperson. She was born and raised in Ronan, graduating from Ronan High School in 2007. She graduated from Spokane Falls Community College with a Graphic Design A.A.S and Web Design A.A.S.
Since starting at the Leader, she has learned that teamwork is one of the most important parts of putting a paper out. During her free time, she enjoys riding horses along the banks of the Flathead River, fishing, hunting, water skiing, hikking and just about anything outdoors in the company of family and friends.
"There isn't anything better then spending the day on the lake and coming home to a bonfire," she said. "I also like to snowboard and sled during the winter."
Her favorite part of the Leader is the environment and the fast pace flow of things.
Northrup joins the Leader from Fruita, Colo., to be with her fiance as the new office manager. She has a 10-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son. She grew up in Wyoming and moved to Western Colorado to attend Nursing School at Mesa State College.
"We came to Montana to visit and couldn't go home, because we fell in love with Polson," she said. "I cannot wait to meet more people and get involved with the community."
She has worked as an office manager in the past for four years while in Wyoming. So far, she has learned there is never a dull moment at the Leader. Her favorite part is the office atmosphere.
In her free time, she spends time with her fiance, two kids and dog, and enjoys camping, going to the lake, shooting hoops. She also finds time to plan her wedding.
As the seasons change, the Leader is changing as well. Feel free to give us a call or stop by our office to get to know our new faces.
