William H. Bush

William H. Bush, 86, of Polson, who passed away March 28 in Polson, was born June 27, 1924 to Frank E. and Ruth Bush in Glendive, Mont. The family moved to Milltown in 1927.

His parents and two young siblings preceded him in death along with sisters Betty Nelson and Patricia Straight; brothers Arthur M.(Bumps) and Walter E.(Toots) Bush and two daughters, Linda and Cookie.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Debbie Anderson, of Upper Milligan Road, Great Falls and brothers Richard F. and Gerald R. of Milltown and sisters Mary Beth Hatch of Eugene, Ore. and Peggy Timmer of Parachute Colo.

As a very young man, Bill enlisted in the Marines at the start of WWII and served in the South Pacific war zone until the end of the war. He was honorably and medically discharged from the Marines.

He served as a state legislator during Governor Nutter’s term. Bill worked in the furniture business and Real Estate in Missoula and was an avid hunter and fantastic fisherman. He was also active in sportsman organizations and affairs. Bill was a lifetime member of the Missoula Elks, #883.

He has spent the last five years in Evergreen and Polson Health and Rehab Center.
