Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place Jan. 12.

-State of Montana vs. Tillian Gonzales; 27. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of money laundering, a felony. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Defendant remains at liberty. Omnibus hearing is set for March 9 at 9 a.m. The Court executes a trial setting order setting this matter for trial on May 16 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Elizabeth Salway; 23. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of forgery, a felony. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. PSI is ordered. Sentencing is set for Feb. 16 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. James Adams; 52. The matters before the Court are change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of assault with a weapon, a felony, Count I in DC-10-69 and enters and Alford plea and in DC-10-70 admits committing the offense of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charges. The Court grants the State’s motion to dismiss Count II in DC-10-69. PSI is ordered. Sentencing is set for Jan. 26 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Grady Sullivan; 34. The matter before the Court is hearing on merits. Attorney Ashley Young indicates the Defendant is prepared to make some admissions today. Defendant is sworn. The Court finds the admissions are sufficient and the Defendant’s deferred sentence is revoked. The parties are prepared for sentencing. The Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for 10 years with eight years suspended to be placed in an appropriate correctional facility to be determined by DOC. Defendant is to receive credit for all time spent in custody. The Court recommends the Defendant be considered for placement in Connections Corrections and pre-release providing it meets with the approval of the DOC. All original conditions are re-imposed.

Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place Jan. 13.

-State of Montana vs. Howard Kallowat; 55. The matter before the Court is sentencing on revocation and sentencing. For the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, Count I, a felony, in DC-10-164, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for one year all suspended consecutive to DC-03-43. In DC-03-43, for the offense of criminal endangerment, Count I, a felony and driving under the influence of alcohol, Count II, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for a term of three years. In DC-03-43, previous conditions are reimposed.

-State of Montana vs. Dacia Tonasket; 32. The matter before the Court is sentencing. PSI has been received and reviewed. For the amended offense of criminal endangerment, a felony, the Court defers imposition of sentencing for a period of three years. In addition, the Defendant shall serve 20 days in the LCJ with credit for time served.

-State of Montana vs. Nathen Russell; 20. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, Count I. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. PSI ordered. Sentencing is set for Feb. 17 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Alex Jungwirth; 26. The matter before the Court is change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, Count I, and habitual traffic offender operating a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, Count III. The Court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the Defendant guilty of the charge. PSI ordered. Sentencing is set for Feb. 17 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Robert Templer; 41. The matter before the Court is sentencing. For the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Count I, a felony, in DC-10-6, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for a term of 13 months and for the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Count I, a felony, in DC-10-106, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for five years all suspended on the condition the Defendant successfully competes the residential alcohol treatment program.

-State of Montana vs. Jonas Buckman; 28. The matter before the Court is sentencing. For the offense of negligent vehicular assault, Count I, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for a term of 10 years with five suspended and accidents involving death or personal injury, Count II, a felony, the Court commits the Defendant to the DOC for a term of five years with all suspended.

-State of Montana vs. George Evans; 42. The matter before the Court is arraignment. Ready to enter plea, Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of aggravated assault, Count I, criminal endangerment, Count II, felonies, partner family member assault, Count III, a misdemeanor, partner family member assault, Count IV, partner family member assault, Count V, felonies, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Count VI. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. Attorney Steve Eschenbacher at this time requests a bond reduction to $10,000. State objects. Request denied. The Court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on March 17 at 9 a.m. and jury trial on April 11 at 9 a.m.

-Kurpius, Kayla M.; 22. Careless driving. Fined $50.

-Snyder, Merlyn J.; 55, Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense. Fined $400 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.

-Allensworth, Pamela K.; 44. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense. Fined $400 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.

-Grudzien, Rebecca L.; 54. Driving under the influence of alcohol - first offense. Fined $400 and 365 days in jail with 364 days suspended; completed on Jan. 13.

-Sandberg, Matthew C.; 19. Criminal mischief - misdemeanor. Fined $115.
