Polson

Our monthly Birthday dinner should have been on July 22, but we are having Clara’s Fish Fry on that day and the Birthday dinner will be on July 29. So mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss either one of these dinners.

Dave is on vacation for the next two weeks so Kaye, Harvey and Paul will be filling in for him. We hope Dave has a really good time and we thank Kaye, Harvey and Paul for helping us out.

As you all probably know, Jo retired the end of June and I was hired to take on her job. She did such a good job that I hope I can do the same. So I will be here at the center five days a week and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me and I’ll do my best to help you out. My name is Cathy and I hope I can meet you all in time. Have a really good week and get out and enjoy that sunshine.

Now, for some card scores. Bridge scores for July 8 had Rachel Vallet first and Dean Greiner second and for July 12 Doris Gorsuch was first and Paul Doolittle was second. Pinochle scores for July 14 were Pete Daniels first and Carol Daniels second.

Luncheon menu: Thursday (7/21) meatloaf; Friday (7/22) Clara’s Fish Fry; Monday (7/25) taco salad; Tuesday (7/26) barbecue ribs; Wednesday (7/27) hamburger steak.

Ronan

Joan Sampson has been chosen to be the “Senior of the Year” for the Ronan center, and we will be having a special lunch to honor her on Wednesday, July 20. Come on in and join us in celebrating this honor for Joan, and enjoy a great meal of barbecue beef ribs. The foot clinic is also on the 20 from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

Our monthly birthday dinner is on Friday, July 29 at noon, and we will be serving roast beef. This is monthly celebration that we hold to honor our seniors on the month of their birthdays, and is always held on the last Friday of the month.

Our condolences go out to the families of Velma LaRoque and Marie Cowen. Both have lost family members this past week.

We have members who are currently ill and hope that they are soon feeling better and able to join us here at the center.

The bus has been repaired, and we give our thanks to the guys in Charlo who fixed it. The ladies (and the driver) that ride the bus were sure glad to have it back. It is a lot easier to get in and out of, and now only one trip is necessary to pick them all up.

Thanks to Larry, Jan and Joanne for all of their hard work in the flower garden that they are putting in here at the center. They decided that that bare patch of ground needed some beauty added to it.

Our menu for the rest of the month is: Wednesday (20th) is barbecue ribs, Friday (22nd) is chicken, Monday (25th) is sausage casserole, Wednesday (27th) is salad bar, and Friday (29th) is roast beef.

We have bingo on Mondays and Fridays following lunch, and the pool table is always ready to be used.

Come on in and join us for a great meal and to visit with your friends. We are always glad to meet new people and to sit and visit for a while.
