Harry Potter costumes were a favorite among Linderman students who dressed to resemble their favorite book characters Friday. Gabe Mergenthaler and Amber Hanneman were just two students representing the Gryffindor House Friday.

During the month of February, students earned tickets for every book they read. Names were entered into a book drawing for each classroom and a school-wide drawing for the bikes and helmets.

Bikes were purchased through the Montana Masonic Foundation’s reading encouragement program and Polson’s local Masonic Lodge.

“Teaching students how to read, how to enjoy reading and trying to engage students in reading not only at school but also at home is a priority to the school,” Jones said. “This is one opportunity to give them an incentive to read and hopefully produce a life-long habit of reading.”
