Merrie Holley Prewett

Merrie Holley Prewett, of Arlee, Mont., died from

cancer on Nov. 13, 2011. She was taken into the arms of the Savior

she loved and served for 40 years. 

Merrie was born Dec. 31, 1952 in Memphis, Tenn. to

Grace and Kelsie Holley. Merrie married Kenny Prewett and together

they had four children. They made their home in the west where they

served the Lord on several different mission fields. The Flathead

Reservation in Montana had been their home for the last 20

years. 

Merrie was preceded in death by her parents and her

son, Jordan Prewett. She leaves behind her loving husband, Kenny,

their children, Asa (Jenna) Prewett , Arlee, Mont., Laura (Sonny)

Ford, Seattle, Wash., Anna (Garrett) Brewer, Byhalia, Miss., Sergey

Svetlichney, Arlee, Mont., and five grandchildren. 

She also leaves behind her loving sister, Gay Powell

of Clearwater, Fla. 

Visitation for Merrie will be held Thursday, Nov. 17

from 2-7 p.m. at Grogan Funeral Home in Polson. Funeral service

will be held on Friday, Nov. 18, starting at 10 a.m. at the Jocko

Valley Baptist Church in Arlee. Interment will take place at

Lakeview Cemetery in Polson. Messages of condolence may be left for
