Skyline Drive/TIGER Project update

POLSON — Most of the utility work is completed. Upper Skyline drive prepped for curb and gutter construction which will start later this week. The paving crew is expected to begin immediately after that. Additional road detours and closures will be necessary to stay on schedule. Winter conditions are just around the corner and crews are hustling to beat the freeze.

The access to 1st. E. where it veers off Skyline Drive was discussed. Steep approach is a concern and widening the southbound approach was considered. The decision whether to widen the road will be announced later this week. Snowplowing in that area will have to accommodate the curb and gutter installation which has been designed to handle storm water runoff.
