Come on in and join us for a great meal and fellowship. We serve on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon, and on the second Thursday of the month at 5 p.m. We have bingo on Monday and Friday following the meal, and the pool table is always ready for use. We also have an abundance of books and puzzles for you to borrow or exchange.

Have a great week, and give your favorite senior citizen a hug.

Dixon

Having grown up in the Seattle and Southeast Alaska areas I recognize this weather! Overcast, gray, drippy, sometimes leading to rain showers. The good part is it won’t last for weeks around Western Montana. No frost so far in my valley, so I still have green tomatoes and lovely dahlias in bloom. I have a list of things to do outside after the first frost, and much to do inside — but that’s what winters are for!

We at the Dixon Senior Center have elected our first woman president — Joey Hettick. She will take over the leadership from our hardworking, worthy president of many years, Jim Barnes. We do appreciate all the faithful service and lots of good-humored fun Jim has provided us in the past. If you haven’t met Joey, come to the center and get acquainted.

We are hoping to once again have Thursday afternoon bingo fun, starting on Oct. 27 after lunch — about 1:30. Come join us this first time, if you have any interest in keeping it going. Cards will cost 15 cents each. Our meals are delicious and served at noon on Thursdays as well as Mondays at 5 p.m.

Meals for October will be: Thursday, Oct. 20, meatballs; Monday, Oct. 24, pork chops; Thursday, Oct. 27, ham; Monday, Oct. 31, hot beef sandwiches.
