Community meal

Fellowship Baptist Church cordially invites any members of the community to join us for a free community dinner on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. We will be serving a variety of Italian dishes and desserts. Please join us for good food and fellowship. Our church is located on the corner of Main Street and 7th Avenue East, across from the HCP building.

Pachyderms meet

Ann Brower, Lake County Commissioner, will be the featured speaker at the Friday, Oct. 28, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club. The Pachyderm Club meets in the Rural Fire Department building on Airport Road in Polson. The meeting begins at noon and adjourns at 1 p.m. The social time begins at 11:30 a.m.; brown bag lunches are encouraged.

Astronomy meeting

The next meeting of the Mission Valley Astronomy club will be this coming Saturday, Oct. 29 at the old school in Ravalli at 7 p.m. A program on astronomy will be presented. Weather permitting, viewing will follow with Jupiter being the showcase object. All are invited. Coffee and cookies will be served. Join us and have your astronomy itch scratched. Trick-Or-Treat

The Polson Business Community will be having downtown trick-or-treating Monday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participating businesses will have pumpkin posters on their front doors.

Pumpkin patch bash

The Pumpkin Patch Bash will be held at the Polson High School gym from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, sponsored by New Life Christian Center. The free carnival designed for children grades 6 and under will have a dinner, as well as games, candy and giveaways for the kids. Don’t miss this amazing annual event. Harvest party

Fellowship Baptist Church will be holding our annual Harvest Party celebration on Oct. 31. This event is free to all our community children. We will be having supper followed by games, crafts, lots of treats and more. Please come join us for a fun and safe alternative evening for all children. Our church is located on the corner of Main Street and 7th Avenue East, across from the HCP building. Our Harvest Party will begin with supper at 6 p.m. and continue through 8 p.m. We’ll see you there!!

Ronan concert

The Annual Fall All-Choral Concert featuring five choirs will take place Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Ronan Performing Arts Center. The select/show choir, concert choir and Ronan’s sixth, seventh and eighth grade choirs will be performing several selections, as well as several styles of songs. It’s the only concert of the year in which high schoolers and middle schoolers perform together, so come to this free event!

Community dance

It’s a hunter’s moon on Nov. 2, so if you’re looking for a bargain in fun places to be, come out to the dance from 7:30 until 11 p.m. at the Elk’s. Tunes are played by Heart to Heart. Refreshments are served and requests are welcome. You don’t have to join anything but the fun. Ballroom dancing is the fare and all your friends will be there.

Quilters meet

The regular meeting of the Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will be held Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Ronan Alliance Church on Terrace Lake Rd. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun. Carl has an educational panel of “Experts” including Sylvia Moody, Peggy Olson, Robyn Shock and Debbie Thinglestad to answer your quilting questions. There is still fabric to participate in the Mystery Challenge Quilt, there is a small fee for this but you will receive the fabrics for the challenge quilt for this year. You still have time to get in on the six block sampler. Don’t forget to bring your show and tell to share with everyone. Looking forward to seeing you there.

The Lake County Planning Department would like to remind lakefront property owners on Swan Lake and Lake Mary Ronan that floating docks are required to be removed from the water by Dec. 1 in accordance with Section 5-3(A)(3) of the Lake County Lakeshore Protection Regulations.
