Rosemary Agnes Magnuson

| September 21, 2011 5:08 PM

Rose died of natural causes on Sept. 11, 2011 in Boise, Idaho. When her husband, Bill, retired in 1985 they moved to a house on Rocky Point Road near Polson on Flathead Lake where they shared spectacular meals, gardens, good conversation and all the things that come with living by the lake with their friends and family.

Rose was a community organizer and political activist. She put her energy and passion into working with the highway department to improve regulations for billboards on scenic byways, getting Walmart to include landscaping to soften their impact on the view of the lake, among many other projects.

Her husband Bill preceded her in death. She is survived by Mary (and Allan) Wylie of Boise Idaho, Leaf Magnuson (and Bryce Burwick) of Dillon, Mont. and Swen Magnuson (and Deborah McElroy) of Idaho Falls. She has three precious granddaughters whom she probably watches over still, Laura Rose Wylie, Bonnie Rose Magnuson and Madeline Marie Magnuson.

Rose became a part of every place she lived and friends remember her humor, kindness, generosity and passion for her family. There will be a Celebration of Life memorial for Rose in Missoula on Nov. 12.
