POLSON — The detour has created some confusion and the best solution is “drive the route” to become familiar with the numerous re-routes.

The planned removal of the old Pablo Feeder Canal Bridge may be postponed due to the continued flow. In a typical year, the canal is dry by late September. Late season run-off from this year’s snow pack has kept the canal flowing. Re-routing into local streams and/or a temporary coffer dams with pumps were some of the solutions discussed. Paving would be done next spring should the canal be flowing late fall.

There have been some unexpected water supply shut downs. Residents are notified a majority of the time and communications between the prime contractor and the city have been critical to minimize unforeseen shut downs.
