This pre-fall weather is hinting of what’s to come... and I hope it takes a long time getting to winter. I’m always left with heaps of tomatoes to ripen through December. So far I’ve frozen and shared much of the harvest, but they keep coming! What a blessing! And what’s with all these small moths hanging on my window screens at night? And they appear inside in the morning! Plus a group of doves has settled nearby and cooed through the summer. There’s always something different appearing in this beautiful country.
Congratulations to Vic Charlo, poet and playwright, who just had his play, “Moon Over Mission Dam” presented several times lately. He has others he has written, which may be produced in the future.
President Jim Barnes and daughter Karen returned from a long cross-country drive visiting relatives and seeing lots of scenery. Jim just happened to be there in time to see the University of Montana Grizzly football team play in Tennessee.
Happy birthday, and welcome back to the center, Faye Pitts. Ask her about “Jitterbug.” She’s getting technical, too!
The scores for last month’s pinochle players showed Mary Howell was the high scorer and low was Knight Weber. Ruth Krantz had the most pinochle. The door prize was won by Marion Garcia. This next Monday, Sept. 26, will be the next time to play at Dixon, starting after dinner.

The will be here at 1 p.m., so come on in and see if you qualify for any of the programs offered to seniors.
The Medicare Supplement Enrollment dates have been changed this year.
