Robert Edgel Sigler

Robert Edgel Sigler, 83, passed away at his home on March 26, 2012.

Born in Anaconda, Mont. to John and Cecilia (Schmidt) Sigler on Nov. 16, 1928, as a child he moved to California where he became a truck driver working for CalCan, Cheslea, and was an owner-operator for BBJ. He was also an entrepreneur and started the Workman Store.

A member of the Mission Valley Honor Guard, Bob served proudly in the Army in WWII, as an army veteran he was proud of his service and had a real passion for being a veteran. Robert was also an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, he enjoyed going to rodeos and loved to be around his family and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his son Robert George Hodgson, and a brother John (Jack) Sigler.

Survivors include his children, John Bradford Sigler, of Orange, Calif., Nacee Watson of Baltimore, Md., Lillian Jean Fowlston, of Reno, Nev., Cynthia Montgomery, of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., a sister Maryanne Dongara of LaHambra, Calif., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Military honors were presented at 5 p.m. Sunday at the St. Ignatius Veterans Memorial located on First and Arrow in St. Ignatius. A potluck dinner followed. Visitation was held Saturday evening 7-9 p.m. at Foster funeral home in St. Ignatius. Condolences may be left at www.fosterfhandcrematory.com
