St. Ignatius
The St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center will be the site of the Annual Spring Quilt Show this year. The center will be full to the brim with quilt creations. The show will take place Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28. There will be no meal served on the 27th.
The center’s first Movie Night will be Tuesday, April 17. The movie, which will start at 6 p.m., will be the comedy Night at the Museum, starring Ben Stiller. It will be shown on the center’s big screen TV. Suggested donations will be accepted. Popcorn, coffee and sodas will be available for purchase. Everyone is welcome.
The following are senior center activities for April: April 5 quilters; April 6 turkey casserole lunch; April 9 pinochle, 7 p.m.; April 10 Swedish meatballs lunch; April 12 quilters; April 13 chicken and birthday cake lunch; April 13 board of directors meeting, 10 a.m.; April 17 movie, 6 p.m.; April 17 Salisbury steak lunch; April 18 lasagna dinner, 5:30 p.m.; April 19 quilters; April 20 baked fish lunch; April 24 pulled pork lunch; April 27-28 quilt show. Bingo is played after almost every lunch.

The AARP Driving Class will be here at the center on Tuesday, April 24. Clara will be home from Arizona and will be teaching the class. If you are interested in taking this class give us a call at 883-4735 and we’ll get you on the list.
We will be having our Easter lunch on Thursday, April 5. Jo and Shirley have got the dining room decorated so cute, so plan on coming in and having some Easter ham with us. We will start serving at 11:45 and go till 12:30. We look forward to seeing all of you.
Tracy with Sterling will be here at the center on Thursday, April 12 at 12:30 to talk with any of you on the topic of “Not Trapped in Your Drug Plans.” If you have questions or need any information on this, please plan to be here and she will be happy to visit with you.
The Veteran’s Aid will also be here on Thursday the 12th from 10 a.m. to noon. If you need to visit with Roxanne come on in and she’ll do what she can for you. No appointment is necessary.
The toenail clinic is on Wednesday the 11th starting at 10:30 a.m. and going till noon. If you need to get your nails clipped come on in and the nurse will take care of you.
There will be a board meeting starting at 10 on Friday, April 13. Hope to see all board members there. There isn’t too much going on this week so you all stay dry and warm, think “spring” and we’ll talk again soon.
The scores for the Tuesday, March 20 Afternoon Bowling are High Games No Handicap Don Young and Jim Funke. High Handicap Series had Jim Funke 641, Sharon Adamson 632, Frani Basta 606 and Don Young 605. The scores for March 27 are as follows Hi Games-No Handicap Ray Theiler 231, Jesse Barry 228, Sharon Adamson 224, Brenda Williams 224, Frani Basta 223 and Cindy Lawin 215. Hi Handicap Series had Sharon Adamson 685, Frani Basta 675, Claudia Barry 667, Ray Theiler 646, Jesse Barry 635, Larry Lawin 628, Pete Daniels 617 and Brenda Williams 606.
Now for some card scores. Bridge for March 16 had Bob Gorsuch first and Donna Cason second. March 20 had Dean Greiner first and Max Neeley second and for March 23 Max Neeley was first and Dean Greiner second. Pinochle scores for March 22 had Alice Johnson first and Alice Grilley second and for March 29 Pete Daniels was first and Ward Grilley took second.
Luncheon manu: Thursday (4/5) bone-in-ham Easter lunch; Friday (4/6) baked fish; Monday (4/9) sausage gravy and biscuits; Tuesday (4/10) cheese burgers; Wednesday (4/11) beef stroganoff.

Well, another month has come and gone, and the weather is as unpredictable as usual. At least the flowers are starting to bloom, and the grass is starting to green-up.
The date of the COA’s Mother-Daughter Luncheon has been set. It will be from 12 until 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 5. They are requesting that you purchase tickets in advance. If you have any questions, give them a call at 676-2367. The luncheon will be held here at the center again, and the address is 528 Main St. SW in Ronan.
The Veterans rep will be here on Thursday, May 12 from 1 until 3 in the afternoon. Our evening meal will be at 5 p.m. on that same day. We will be serving pork roast.
Pinochle will be played here on Monday, the 16th at 7 p.m. They have gone back to the evening hours during the summer. The Foot Clinic will be here on Wednesday, the 18th, from 10:30 until noon. You do not need an appointment, but please call in and get your name on the list. They have the time for only 10 (or 100 toes). The number for that is (406) 676-2371.
AARP is still doing taxes until the deadline. They will be here on the 5th and the 12th. If you haven’t got yours done yet, give your local senior center a call to schedule an appointment.
Our menu for the next week: Wednesday (4th) is our Easter ham dinner, Friday (6th) is Sloppy Joes, Monday (9th) is pizza, Wednesday (11th) is shepherd’s pie, Thursday (12th) is pork roast at 5 p.m., and Friday (13th) is calico beans.
