We would like to thank Mr. Sampson’s shop class for the cardholders they made for us. The cardholders are used by our card players that are limited to using one hand to play cards. Also, thank you to Donna Cason for seeing that this was done. We really do appreciate it!

Is there anything so invigorating and uplifting as springtime in the Rockies? Specifically in our area of western Montana? I can’t help it. I check daily for new signs — an apricot tree loaded with blossoms, hoping for some fruit this year if the bees cooperate. Only once in 11 years have I had a crop!
The tiny grape hyacinths and over-wintering pansies have popped up, mounds of peonies and my star-of-the-show bleeding heart are back again, promising a grand show coming up. Go check out what may be growing around you, even spotting a dandelion is happy at first. Enjoy! I’d like to think the heavy snow that comes in April are over and we can begin planting soon.
Our monthly flea market will be this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Do drop by to see who and what is new. We will be serving chicken-noodle soup and sandwiches, home-made cinnamon rolls and pie. Vendor tables can be reserved by calling 246-3526 or 246-3271. (The date for June’s flea market will be on the last Saturday, June 23, to coincide with the Sanders county-wide garage sales taking place throughout the county.)
Meals for the rest of the month will be: Thursday, April 19, roast elk sandwiches, bean and rice soup, coleslaw, dessert; Monday, April 23, baked chicken; Thursday, April 26, corned beef casserole; Monday, Apr. 30, pork chops.
Come join us at noon on Thursdays and at 5 p.m. Mondays. Everyone is welcome. A good place to bring company for a home-cooked meal and no clean-up! Pinochle is enjoyed at 6:30 on the fourth Monday of every month.
