RONAN — Kevin Kenelty will be the next principal at Ronan High School after the board approved his hiring at its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 12, 2012.

On Wednesday, March 28, an interview committee made up of several administrators and school board trustees conducted interviews for the position. Kenelty, currently a principal in Poplar, Mont., emerged as the top candidate. He has 17 years of experience in the field of education, with four of those years in an administrative capacity.

“We are excited to be able to welcome such a talented and committed individual to take the helm at RHS,” superintendent Andrew Holmlund wrote in a letter of recommendation to the board.

Kenelty will take over for the 2012-2013 school year, replacing Tom Stack who has accepted a superintendent position in Clinton, Mont.
