Ronan man accused of stealing liquor
RONAN - On June 18th, 2012, Randall Stevens was accused of breaking into the Second Chance Saloon in Ronan and stealing several bottles of liquor.
According to court records at approximately 8 a.m. the saloon owner arrived at the bar and discovered several things to appear out of order. A review of the security tape show the defendant and an accomplice rifling through the liquor at the bar and selectively take several bottles, according to court documents.
The defendant and accomplice both allegedly admitted their involvement in the burglary of the bar. The defendant stated that they broke into the bar through the window and stole the liquor, according to court documents. The bar owner estimated the value of the alcohol stolen to be at $275 and damage to his window screen at $20.
On July 25, 2012, Randall Stevens pled not guilty to the charge of burglary, a felony. Omnibus hearing is set for Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Nov. 19, at 9 a.m.
