Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding
*The following court proceedings took place on Aug. 22, 2012.
- State of Montana vs. Joshua Markovich. The matter before the court is sentencing. For the offense of attempt-burglary, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for 5 years all suspended and for the offense of assault, a misdemeanor, the court commits the defendant to the LCJ for six months all suspended to run concurrent.
- State of Montana vs. Michael Sanford. The matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. The court sets this matter for an omnibus hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at 9 a.m.
- State of Montana vs. Jeremy Amaya. The matter before the court is for hearing of merits. Court finds the defendant’s admissions sufficient to the plea agreement and the defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. The court sets the matter for sentencing on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs. Michael Bettencourt. The matter before the court is change of plea. The defendant admits committing the offense of threats and other improper influence in official and political matters, a felony. The court accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 9 a.m.

*The following court proceedings took place on Aug. 23, 2012.
-State of Montana vs. Daniel Hill. The matter before the court is sentencing. The court commits defendant to DOC for 4 years with all suspended but 30 days to be served in an in-patient chemical dependency program within 6 months and is ordered to wear a scam bracelet for 6 months following treatment.
-State of Montana vs. Jeremy Rice. The matter before the court is sentencing. The plea agreement calls for the defendant to serve 10 days in LCJ with 6 already served. The court commits the defendant to DOC for 5 years on each count to run concurrent and all time suspended except 10 days.
- State of Montana vs. Bruce Bierman. The matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m.
- State of Montana vs. Ronald Goodsell. The matter before the court is arraignment. The defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of failure to give notice of change of address by a sexual or violent offender, a felony. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m.

*The following court proceedings took place Aug. 18- 24, 2012.
- Brent Lemler; 22. Owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance-2nd offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $350. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor. Fined $250.
- Teal Irvine Sherman; 18. Criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Fined $150.

*The following court proceedings took place from Aug. 21-28.
- Jennah Siegfried; 22. Fail to carry proof of insurance - second offense, a misdemeanor. Sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days credited.
- Justin Jore; 32. Reckless driving - first offense. Sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended. Fined $300.
- Elizabeth Smith; 23. Operating with liability insurance-first offense. Sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended. Fined $250.
- Dawn Tash; 32. Following too closely, a misdemeanor. Fined $50. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor. Sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended. Fined $250.
-Kevin Rowe; 24. Careless driving, a misdemeanor. Fined $50.
Booked into county jail
*The following people were booked into county jail from Aug. 22-27., but in most cases have not had a chance to enter a plea. They are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
- Raeleen Stokes; 27. Arrested on-site.
- Kimberly Joseph; 40. Arrested on-site.
- Ian Tuffey; 24. Arrested on-site DUI-refusal, a misdemeanor. No-liability insurance, a violation.
Released from county jail
*The following people were booked into county jail from Aug. 22-27.
- Lee Donald; 50. Arrested on-site for assault with a weapon, a felony.
- Ryan Randles; 31. Arrested on-site for a seatbelt violation, driving while license is suspended or revoked, no proof of insurance, all violations. Aggravated DUI, a misdemeanor.
- Diane Worley; 52. Arrested on-site for DUI, a misdemeanor.
