Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court cases took place Nov. 29.

- State of Montana vs. Kathy Jasso.  The matter before the court is arraignment. Jasso pleads not guilty to three charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, all felonies. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 9 a.m.

*The following district court cases took place on Nov. 30.

-  State of Montana vs. Ronald Martin. The matter before the court is sentencing. For the amended offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the Department of Corrections for 13 months.

-State of Montana vs. Scott Harpine. The matter before the court is arraignment. Harpine pleads not guilty to the charge of burglary, a felony. The court sets the matter for omnibus hearing on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, March 25 , 2012 at 9 a.m.  

-State of Montana vs. Philip Friscia. The matter before the court is arraignment.  Friscia pled not guilty to the charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Merle Jore. The matter before the court is change of plea. Jore admits committing the amended offense of criminal endangerment, a felony. The court accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 9 a.m.

- State of Montana vs. Daniel Hill. The matter before the court is for revocation hearing. The court finds the defendant’s admissions sufficient and his suspended sentence is revoked. For the offense of criminal endangerment, a felony, the court commits the defendant to Montana State Prison for 4 years.

State of Montana vs. Zachary Starkel. The matter before the court is for revocation hearing. Starkel made admissions to the reports of violations. The court finds the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s deferred sentence is revoked. For the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, the court commits Starkel to the Department of Corrections for 5 years and would recommend he be considered for in-patient treatment.

Polson City Court, Judge Olson presiding

*The following city court proceedings took place Nov. 24-Nov.30.

- Donnita Dashnea;.61. Reckless driving-first offense, a misdemeanor. 90 days in jail with 90 suspended. Fined $ 300.

- Jacob Flemming; 36. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor. 2 days in jail. Fined $250. Fail to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle-owner or operator-first offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $250. Operating a vehicle upon public highways  without license plates, a misdemeanor. Theft-obtain or exerts unauthorized control over property-first offense, a misdemeanor. 1 day in jail. Fined $300.

- Jerry Tang; 28. Driving without a valid drivers license, a misdemeanor. Fined $150.

- Steven Chacon; 48. Making right turn from improper lane, a misdemeanor. Fined $50.

- James Hoskinson; 20. Driving under the influence of any drug(narcotic, etc.) -first offense, a misdemeanor. 1 day in jail. Fined $400. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor. 2 days in jail. Fined $250. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor. 2 days in jail. Fined $250. Owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance-second offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $350.

- Nick Burland; 26. Disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Fined $60.

St. Ignatius City Court, Judge Richardson presiding

*The following city court proceedings took place Nov. 1-Nov. 30.

- Cheyenne Morton.3-7 dog/cat. Fined $100. 3-7 dog/cat. Fined $25.

- Christopher Carriveau; 45. Local speed violation. Fined $100.

Booked into county jail

*The following people were booked into the county jail from Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, but in most cases have not had a chance to enter a plea. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

- Timothy Reed; 47.Arrested on-site for criminal trespass to property, a misdemeanor, criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, theft, a misdemeanor.

- Whitney Phillips; 25. Arrested on-site for two counts of criminal contempt, both misdemeanors.

- Katie Joerger; 26. Arrested on-site for assault on peace officer, a felony, assault with bodily fluid, a felony, DUI - refusal, a misdemeanor,expired registration, a misdemeanor, fail to notify by quick means, violation, no proof of liability insurance, a violation and intimidation, a felony.

-Allen Frazier; 32. Arrested on-site on a probation violation, a felony.
