Christopher Gerald Dentler

Christopher Gerald Dentler, age 53, of Polson, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson. He was born Sep. 4, 1958 in Portland, Ore., to Carl and Rose Maureen Dentler. Christopher grew up in Portland and graduated from St. Helens High School. He married Barbara Hallock on June 10, 1975. He lived in Portland and St. Helen’s, Ore. until 2001 when they moved to Polson.

Christopher enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and City of Polson as a reserve officer since 2005.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Mike; an infant son, Chris; and three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Angie Pazder of Polson, Anthony Dentler of Sidney, Neb., Charissa, Nick, Gabe, Sophie, Lexi, Zack, Isaiah, Lydia, and Maria Dentler, all of Polson; 18 grandchildren; his mother, Rose Maureen Dentler of Portland, Ore.; and eight siblings.

Vigil will be Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson. Memorial Mass will be Friday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Church.
