Here is a rundown of basketball action from Lake County last

night. 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Loyola 48, St. Ignatius 37

ST. IGNATIUS - A slow third quarter clipped Mission in a 48-37 loss to Loyola on Saturday.

Mission led 22-21 at halftime, but Loyola went out of the gates in the second half with an 11-0 run and the Bulldogs couldn't recover in the fourth.

Austin Durglo led the team with eight points. Mission's record is now 1-6 in the district and 2-13 overall.

Loyola - 15 - 6 - 11 - 16 - 48

Superior 63, TERS 43

PABLO - A slow start in both halves allowed Superior to pull away from Two Eagle for a 63-43 victory on Saturday.

Superior jumped out to a 19-5 lead in the first quarter and outscored the Eagles 17-11 in the third en route to the win, despite 14 points from Artie Mendoza and 11 from Marcus Brown.

Two Eagle's record is now 10-6 overall and 6-5 in district play.

Charlo 80, P-burg 40

CHARLO - The Vikings scored at least 20 points in three quarters and rolled Philipsburg 80-40 on Saturday.

Four different Vikings scored in double digits for the game and Charlo had a 50-24 lead at halftime. After a slow third quarter, the Vikings again notched 22 points in the fourth.

Web O'Neill scored 19 points for Charlo while Tra Ludeman added 12 and Kolten Andrews had 11. Dillon Delaney had 16.

The Vikings record is now 10-4.

Charlo 63, Philipsburg 18

CHARLO - Charlo jumped out to a 36-12 lead and never looked back in a 63-18 victory on Saturday.

Rachel Hoys led the team with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Deondra Brown had 13 and Kinley Pope notched 12.

Charlo went on a 26-7 run in second quarter and a 19-6 run in the third quarter.

The Lady Vikings record is now 13-2 on the season.
