Louis John “Baba Lu” Nevarez

Louis John “Baba Lu” Nevarez, 63, passed away at Community Hospital in Missoula on Jan. 31, 2012. A member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, he was born on June 5, 1948 in St. Ignatius to Mary Pablo and Leopold Nevarez. Visitation and a funeral were held last week.

Rita Lin Buchanan

Rita Lin Buchanan, 52, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 26. 2012, in Kalispell. She was born to Ron and Pete Buchanan in Ogden, Utah on July 20, 1959. She is survived by her daughters, J.C. Donner, Danielle Lee and Lorrie Williams; grandsons, Elijah, Nicademus, Malachi and Kellen; her granddaughter, Bella; and her siblings, Ronda Detmers, R.D. Buchanan and Rayelle Anderson. Cremation has taken place and services were held on Feb. 4.
