Here's a roundup of what happened in Lake County basketball

action last night. 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Corvallis 54, Polson 50

CORVALLIS - Polson had the advantage early but Corvallis used a 15-6 run in the third quarter to help get a 54-50 victory over the Pirates on Thursday night.

Zack Camel scored in double-digits for the fifth straight game, and the Pirates had an 18-11 lead in the first quarter.

Trailing 26-20 at halftime, Corvallis went on a 15-6 run in the third quarter and outscored Polson by one point in the fourth quarter.

Vince DiGiallonardo had nine and Riley Sampson had eight. Polson's record is now 7-8 overall.

Polson - 18 - 8 - 6 - 18 - 50

Corvallis - 11 - 9 - 15 - 19 - 54

Charlo 54, Hot Springs 44

HOT SPRINGS - The Vikings mounted a second-half comeback against Hot Springs en route to a 54-44 victory in a 14-C "Super" district matchup on Thursday.

Web O'Neill scored 19 points and the Vikings came back from a 27-19 halftime lead by Hot Springs. Charlo went on a 18-5 run in the third quarter and outscored Hot Springs 17-12 in the fourth.

Kolten Andrews also had 12 points for the Vikings.

Charlo's record is now 12-4 overall and 7-4 in district play.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Mission 48, Ronan 35

ST. IGNATIUS - The Lady Bulldogs held Ronan to single-digits in three quarters en route to a 48-35 victory on Thursday night.

Mission jumped out to a 23-14 lead at halftime, and continued to push their advantage in the second half.

Bryanna Steele had 16 points to lead Mission and Stephanie Lewnadowski had 11.

Mission's record is now 3-14 on the season. Ronan's is 4-13.

MISSION 48, RONAN 35

Mission - 13 - 10 - 14 - 11 - 48

Charlo 42, Hot Springs 15

HOT SPRINGS - Charlo put in a strong defensive performance, holding Hot Springs to five points or under in all four quarters of their 42-15 victory on Thursday night.

Charlo had an 18-9 lead at halftime and then held Hot Springs to six points in the second half. The Lady Vikings scored 24 after halftime.

Kinley Pope led the team with 13 points and Deondra Brown had 12.

Charlo's record is now 15-2 on the season and 7-2 in district play.
