Here is a round-up of Lake County basketball action last

night.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Columbia Falls 50, Ronan 38

RONAN - Ronan stood toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the state, regardless of class, and didn't blink.

After three quarters it was only a 34-24 for the Wildcats, but Columbia Falls was able to hold onto their lead in the fourth quarter.

Ronan outscored Columbia Falls 9-3 in the third quarter.

Marcus Hungerford and Chris Clary both had 10 points for the Chiefs.

C-FALLS 50, RONAN 38

Charlo 59, Arlee 49

ARLEE - The first half belonged to Charlo, the second began to Arlee but the Vikings were able to come away with the 59-49 14-C "Super" district win.

Charlo had a 32-14 lead, but Arlee outscored Charlo by nine points in the second half and wouldn't go away in the game.

Kolten Andrews led the Vikings with 18 points, while Junior Sansavere led the Warriors with 18 also.

Charlo is now 13-4 overall and 8-4 in district play. Arlee is 7-10 overall and 5-7 in district play.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Columbia Falls 62, Ronan 40

RONAN - The Maidens didn't shy away from their Northwestern A opponent on Friday night, but couldn't quite overcome a slow start in a 62-40 loss to Columbia Falls.

The Wildkats jumped out to a 35-18 lead at halftime, and held Ronan to six points in the third but the Maidens outscored Columbia Falls 16-14 in the fourth quarter.

Ashley Grandchamp led the Maidens with 12 points and Courtney Clairmont had 10.

Charlo 41, Arlee 24

ARLEE - Charlo and Arlee battled for three quarters, but the Lady Vikings went on a 16-5 run in the fourth quarter to win 41-24.

Charlo had gone on a 16-2 run in the first quarter, but scored just nine points in the next two quarters as Arlee came back. The Scarlets trailed just 25-19 going into the fourth quarter.

Kinley Pope led the Lady Vikings with 19 points, while Mahalia Hendren had nine for the Scarlets.

Charlo's record is 16-2 overall and 8-2 in district play. Arlee's record is 8-7 overall and 5-3 in district play.
