Lake County settles two human rights claims

POLSON — Two individuals filed human rights complaints against Lake County and Lake County's Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall in December. One claim settled for $110,000 while the other settled for $45,000.

Both claims were settled Dec. 11 and paid by the insurer, and according to one of the attorneys involved in the claims, the employees were indemnified. The two individuals were Lake County employees, but per the terms of their respective settlements, no longer are. All parties involved declined to comment on the record.
