POLSON — When your feet feel frozen from sloshing around in the slush and snow, there is nothing like a steaming bowl of homemade soup to thaw them. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere at “Soup’s On” will not only warm your toes, it will warm your spirit.

The Soup’s On project operates from the Wander Inn in Polson, and is hosting its Second Annual Open House beginning Sunday, Feb. 19. In an effort to draw attention to the growing homeless population in the area, volunteers will be sleeping in a teepee on the lawn in front of the Wander Inn.

“We’re not coming in from the cold until we raise $6,000 for programs to aid homeless and hungry people in our community,” is the voice of the volunteer willing to sleep outside during the coldest part of the winter.

Learn more about the “Soup’s On” project by attending the week-long open house. There will be hot soup, bread, dessert and warm beverages, Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Wander Inn, 101 - 7th Ave. West in Polson. Every evening from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be entertainment through the week, and on Friday, Feb 24, Family Table will be hosting a potato bar.
