RC passed away Feb. 13, 2012 in Pablo, Mont. in the

home of friends.  He was born May 4, 1940 in Polson, Mont. to

Leonard and Vivian Connell.

He and his older brother, Larry, left home at a young

age to work on grain elevators in Kansas for a time.  RC was in the

United States Army and after that he took up the sport of rodeo

until he settled down with a job of welding for the Alaskan

Pipeline.

As he got older he became an over-the-road truck

driver and before he gave that up he was able to take our mother

for a couple of runs and enjoyed that experience quite a lot. RC

was a member of the VFW and the Eagles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and

Vivian Connell, and his brothers, Jack and Larry Connell.  He is

survived by a sister, Ada McCay, and son, Clayton.

A potluck gathering will be held at the VFW in Polson

on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 4 to 5 p.m.
