GIRLS BASKETBALL

Superior 53, Charlo 52

SUPERIOR - It took a layup with nine seconds to go to hand Charlo their first loss of the season. In a battle of the undefeated teams, Superior edged Charlo 53-52 on Friday night.

Rachel Hoyt led the Lady Vikings with 16, and the two teams were knotted 26-26 at halftime. Charlo took a 39-36 lead after the third but the Lady Bobcats came back to win it in the final seconds.

Charlo's record is now 6-1.

POLSON - It was another Riley Kenney kind of night as the senior notched 20 points in a 48-40 victory on Friday.

The Lady Pirates had a 26-17 lead at halftime and didn't relinquish their lead in the second half. Mariah Hamel also had 10 points for Polson.

The Lady Pirates record is 4-1.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Two Eagle River 63, St. Regis 21

ST. REGIS - The Eagles continued to show how strong they are, holding St. Regis to just four points in the first half in a 63-21.

Two Eagle held the Tigers to just a bucket a quarter in the first half and built a 40-4 lead. They cruised to victory in the second half.

Artie Mendoza and Marcus Brown had 12 points apiece, while Skler Rossbach had 11. Nine different Eagles scored in the game.

Two Eagle's record is now 6-1.
