RONAN - The Arlee Warriors fought their way to a 10th-place finish among high-quality teams from all classes at the Western Montana Duals.

Despite going 1-2 on both Friday and Saturday, several Warrior wrestlers had good weekends against some of the state's top competition.

At 130 pounds, Cameron Domenick came out on Friday with two pins in three matches. Against Polson, Domenick was able to earn his first victory with just one second left in the second round before earning a pin in just 1:06 against Deer Lodge as part of Arlee's 36-17 victory over the Wardens. Nathan Bertollt, at 145, rebounded from a tough Friday to win two of his three Saturday matches by pinfall. Taking on Drummond in his second match of the day, Bertollt earned a pin toward the end of the first round, helping the Warriors defeat Drummond for their second win of the tournament, 42 41. Bertollt came back in his next match, finishing the tournament on a strong note by defeating his Thompson Falls opponent in 1:16.

Also helping Arlee defeat Drummond was Dakota Paul at 152 pounds, who earned a decision win against Drummond, 8-4 and Leif Rova at 160, with a pin halfway through the second round against his adversary. Rova had one of Arlee's best showings, adding a pin over Columbia Falls and a technical fall (16-0) against Thompson Falls as part of his weekend. Warrior 171-pounder Al Plant notched two pins on the weekend, the first in 1:26 in the win over Deer Lodge and the second nine seconds quicker against Frenchtown.

Finally, 215-pound beast Cody North won a pair of matches, the first against Polson with a first-round pin before doing the same to his Thompson Falls opponent in just 1:04. The Warriors nearly finished the Duals at .500, getting eked out by Thompson Falls 42-41.

This week, Arlee travels to Conrad for a dual on Thursday before a two-day meet at Choteau on Friday and Saturday.
