GIRLS BASKETBALL

Arlee 39, Mission 35

The Scarlets picked up their fourth win of the season with a 39-35 victory over valley rival Mission on Tuesday.

Both Whitney Malatare and Alexis Shick scored 10 points for Arlee, which used a 15-6 run in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 25-17 lead.

Mission made a comeback bid in the fourth behind 11 points by Stephanie Lewandowski and eight by Bryanna Steele but fell short, 39-35.

Arlee's record is 4-5, while Missions is 2-8.

RONAN - The Maidens fell to Florence 67-39 on Tuesday in a 6-B District matchup.

Ten different Ronan players scored in the game, but Florence took a 34-18 lead at halftime and cruised to the win.

Ronan's record is now 3-7.

FLORENCE - Robbie Gauthier scored 16 points but it wasn't enough as Florence pulled away in the second half to hand Ronan a 58-47 loss.

Florence held a slim 25-24 lead at halftime, but went on a 16-8 run in the third to pull away from the Chiefs.

Ronan's record is now 5-5 on the season.
