Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place Jan. 6.

-State of Montana vs. Scott Barber; the matter before the court is sentencing. For the amended offense of criminal endangerment, a felony, the court defers imposition of sentence for three years. The defendant shall be allowed to petition the court for early termination of his deferred sentence after serving half of his deferred sentence.

-State of Montana vs. Eric Templeton; the matter before the court is change of plea. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Agreement previously filed. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant sworn and understands the rights he is waiving. The court inquires. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of Criminal Endangerment, a felony. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at 9 a.m.

Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place Jan. 7.

-State of Montana vs. Valdena Curley; the matter before the court is change of plea. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Agreement ordered filed. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant sworn and understands the rights she is waving. The court inquires. The defendant admits committing the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, count I. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. The court grants the state’s motion to dismiss Count II. Sentencing is set for Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Shane Elloyd Romero; the matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of partner or family member assault, a felony. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Wednesday, March 7 at 9 a.m. Trial is set for Monday, April 30 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Georgena Oldperson; the matter before the court is change of plea. Acknowledgment of Rights and Plea Agreement ordered filed. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant admits committing the offense of issuing a bad check, common scheme, felony. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Nathan Wedrick; the matter before the court is hearing on merits. Counsel indicates defendant will be making admissions to the report of violation. Defendant is sworn. The court finds that the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. The court commits the defendant to Montana State Prison for five years with all time suspended except for time served to date, original conditions are re-imposed and defendant is to receive credit for time while in custody. The state indicates defendant is to complete the CPR program.

-State of Montana vs. Mitzi Lea King; the matter before the court is sentencing on revocation. The court sentences the defendant to DOC for five years, no time of which is suspended. Defendant is to receive credit for time while in custody. Sentence is to run consecutive to DC-01-133 and Defendant is to recommend to be placed in Elkhorn or passages followed by pre-release if it meets the approval of the department of corrections. The court instructs defendant to surrender herself to the Lake County Sheriff at 5 p.m.

*The following justice court proceedings took place Dec. 30-Jan. 5.

-True Bystrom-Johnson, 32. Driving under the influence of alcohol - first offense. Fined $600 and 180 days in jail with 179 suspended.

-Laurence Paddock, 59. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense. Fined $400 and 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

-Harry Fritsch, 61. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. If provide proof of valid DL by 3/1/12 and jail waived. Failure to carry proof or exhibit/insurance in vehicle - owner or operator - first offense. Fined $150 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended. Displaying license plates assigned to another vehicle. Fined $100.

-Craig Fiorentino; 21. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $100.

Booked into county jail

*The following were booked into Lake County jail Jan. 2-9. All are innocent until proven guilty.

-Debra Nelson; 30. Arrested on-site for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Possession of dangerous drugs, a misdemeanor. Driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a violation. Speeding, a misdemeanor.

-Eddie Tryon; 24. Arrested on a warrant for two counts of PTPC, FTFCO, FTA, both misdemeanors. Two counts of criminal contempt, one a misdemeanor and one a felony.

-Eliot Vanness; 43. Arrested on-site for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

-Daniel Long; 30. Arrested on-site for DUI, a misdemeanor.

-Merlyn Snyder; 30. Arrested on-site for criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

-Christopher Gorlitz; 27. Arrested on-site for criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

-Michael Stocking; 31. Arrested on-site for three counts of criminal contempt, all misdemeanors.

-June Jones; 51. Arrested on-site for careless driving, a violation. DUI drugs or alcohol, a felony. No liability insurance, a violation.

-Roseanna Mathewson; 32. Arrested on a warrant for a parole violation, a felony.

-Danielle Tidwell; 20. Arrested on-site for no proof of liability insurance, a violation. Driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a violation.

-Michael Duncan; 27. Arrested on-site for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a violation.

-Jon Wrede; 40. Arrested on-site for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a violation. Criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

-Stormi Mann; 30. Arrested on-site for DUI drugs or alcohol, a misdemeanor. No proof of liability insurance, a violation. Open container in a vehicle, a misdemeanor and basic rule, a misdemeanor.

-Shery Parsons; 31. Summoned and cited.

-Daniel Long; 30. Arrested on-site for DUI.

-Merlyn Snyder; 30. Arrested on-site for criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

-Jana Baker; 35. Arrested on-site.

-Michael Mahseelah; 23. Arrested on-site for assault with a weapon, a felony. Assault on a peace officer, a felony.
