THOMPSON FALLS - The gem of a town is a popular summer tourist destination, and deems itself "home of Western hospitality." Locals and tourists alike enjoy the postcard-like scenery, as well as the outdoor activities available, such as fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking and sight-seeing the historical aspects of the town. 18th century explorer David Thompson initially navigated and charted the area, and places where Thompson left his mark or influence can still be viewed today.
