The following are a few of the programs that are in the process of being implemented at this time:
Neighborhood Watch Program: Officer Wright is in the process of identifying neighborhoods that are interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch Program and then acting as an advisor for them.
Citizens’ Academy: We hope to put on our first annual Citizens’ Academy this fall to educate the participants about our department and law enforcement topics in general.
Police Volunteer Programs: This program is in the very beginning stages. There has been a lot of interest from the public in volunteering with our department. We are currently researching similar programs that have been utilized by other agencies.
Home and Business Crime Prevention Inspections: At the request of home or business owners we will provide Crime Prevention Inspections and education. We are also interested in identifying specific groups that may have a need for different types of awareness training.
