MONTANA — This Father’s Day weekend, grab the pole and tackle box, but leave your fishing license at home. For the second straight year, no documentation will be required for those fishing in Montana waters over the designated weekend.

Though anglers will not need a license, other fishing regulations will still apply.

Joe Maurier, director of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says that, “We want everyone to enjoy this ‘fish for free’ gift, and hope many families get to spend time together fishing, though the offer is open to all anglers.”
