Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place June 7.

-State of Montana vs. Daniel Hill; the matter before the court is change of plea. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Agreement order filed. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of criminal endangerment, a felony. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Thursday, July 26 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Misty Whitworth; the matter for sentencing. Recommendations pursuant to the plea agreement. The court defers the imposition of sentence for four years. Defendant is ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,810.

-State of Montana vs. Brian Johnston; the matter before the court for arraignment on second amended information. The court orders the jury trial set for June 18, 2012 and it will be on the second amended information. Counsel indicates the defendant would waive speedy trial and the parties would request the jury trial be re-set, but not earlier than Sept. 18. Mr. Bennett agrees as there are complicated evidentiary issues. The court orders are conditioned upon those two things happening, the June 18 jury trial is vacated.

Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place June 6.

-State of Montana vs. James Snyder; the matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of aggravated burglary, a felony, count I. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Wednesday, July 25 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Edmund Irvine; the matter before the court is to answer a petition to revoke. Defendant will be making admissions today. The court finds the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. The parties are ready for sentencing. The court commits defendant to DOC for four years to be placed in an appropriate facility to be determined by the DOC. The court approved Connections Corrections and pre-release upon the approval of the DOC.

-State of Montana vs. Randall Michel, Jr.; the matter before the court is omnibus hearing. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Agreement is ordered filed. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of theft, a misdemeanor. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. The parties are prepared to proceed to sentencing. Recommendations pursuant to plea agreement. The court sentences defendant to six months in the LCJ with all suspended but 21 days. Defendant is to receive credit for 21 days served. Defendant is ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $447 within five months of June 6.

-State of Montana vs. Ronald Quaring; the matter before the court arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth of subsequent offense, a felony, count I. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Wednesday, July 25 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Danielle Sloan; the matter before the court is change of plea. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Agreement is ordered filed. Defendant admits committing the offense of theft of identity, a felony, count II. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. The court grants the state’s motion to dismiss counts I and III. Sentencing is set for Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. William Ritter; the matter before the court is hearing on merits. Defendant wishes to make admissions. The court finds the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. The court commits defendant to MSP for 10 years with all suspended. Defendant may apply for an early release in the event restitution is paid in full.

*The following justice court proceedings took place June 1-7.

-Evelyn Gonzalez; 32. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. If proof of valid DL is provided then two days of jail are waived.

-Tory Bick; 24. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. 180 days in jail with 166 days suspended. The 14 days of jail must be served in another facility.

-Chad Brown; 34. Disorderly conduct. Fined $50 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.

-Alan Pindel; 32. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $450 and 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended. Credited with 10 days for time served. Theft - obtaining or exhorting unauthorized control over property - third or subsequent offense. Jail time of 180 days with 178 days suspended. Credited with two days for time served.

-Jacob Paul; 36. Driving without a valid driver’s license. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.

-Clinton Chowning; 41. Operating with expired registration - failure to reregister. Fined $100.

-Jolene Mayfair; 37. Operating without liability insurance in effect - second offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with eight suspended. If provides proof of valid insurance coverage on June 6 and six months continuous insurance a jail waived. Driving without a valid drivers license. Fined $50.

Booked into county jail

*The following were booked into county jail June 1-8. All are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

-Bettie Marshall; 52. Arrested on-site for PFMA - reasonable apprehension, a felony.

Released from county jail

-Robin Bunker; 51. Arrested on-site for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a violation.

-Justin Francis; 23. Arrested on-site for carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor, and PFMA - minor injury/physical contact, a misdemeanor.

-Kathrine Price; 41. Arrested on-site for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, a violation, no liability insurance, a violation and DUI, a misdemeanor.

-James Boren; 72. Arrested on a warrant for criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
