We are about halfway through this tax season and we still have appointments that need to be filled, so if you need your taxes done give us a call and we’ll get you an appointment with Kaye or Tom.
There will be a board meeting here at the center on March 9 at 10 a.m. Hope to see the board members then. I don’t know where the month of February went but March is soon upon us, so think warm and sunshine and we’ll talk again soon.

With all this changeable, blustery weather, can spring be far behind? I'm sure we're all mentally ready! My pussy willows have been known to "bloom" in January, but nary a sign of them at February's end.
The wintry weather did not discourage a very successful turnout for the monthly flea market at our center. Besides enjoying Indian tacos and pie, it was a good time browsing, buying and visiting. I meet such interesting people there... some I've never met, living just across the street! Our March market will be Saturday, March 17, and, of course, there will be an Irish-themed lunch available. Reserve a table by calling 246-3526 or 246-3271.
Our first week of March meals will be: Thursday, March 1, Cook's surprise (meaning I couldn't contact the cook); Monday, March 5, breakfast for dinner! A treat for you who don't make it to regular breakfast time; Thursday, March 8, Senior Appreciation Lunch — prepared and served by Dixon School. This is always a treat. Be sure to come join us!

Did you just about get blown away last week? Just goes to show that you can rely on Mother Nature to keep things mixed up weather wise.
There were 20 people here to play pinochle last Monday. High was won by Mary, low was won by Candace, most pinochles was by Deanna and Ruby won the door prize. Carrie and Ray provided the lunch. The next card game at the Ronan center will be on March 5.
We are still taking appointments for taxes. The AARP Rep will be here every Friday until the 13th of April. Call us at 676-2371 to set up an appointment. The board meeting will be on Monday, the 5th of March at 10 in the morning.
The veteran’s rep will be here on Thursday, March 8, from 1 until 3 in the afternoon, and our evening meal will be later that day. We will be having a great chicken dinner from 5 until 6:30 in the evening. It is open to the public.
The foot clinic is on Wednesday, March 21, from 10:30 until noon. I goofed and put it on the menu for the week before that. Give us a call and we will put your name on the list. Our number is 676-2371.
The menu for the next two weeks is: Wednesday (29th) hamburger gravy, Friday (2nd) meatloaf, Monday (5th) hamburger stew and cinnamon rolls, Wednesday (7th) spaghetti, Thursday (8th) chicken and Friday (9th) potato bar.
Have great week, and don't forget to hug your grandkids and tell them how special they are.
