Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding
*The following district court proceedings took place March 1.
-State of Montana vs Jamie Dickson; the matter before the court is sentencing. PSI has been received and reviewed. Recommendations pursuant to plea agreement. For the offense of theft, a felony, the court defers imposition of sentence for a period of two years. The court will not object to defendant being released after half the term is served if all conditions have been met.

*The following district court proceedings took place Feb. 29.
-State of Montana vs Randall Michell; the matter before the court is sentencing on the offense of burglary, a felony. The court commits defendant to DOC for five years, with all suspended.
-State of Montana vs Mark William Ardis. The matter before the court is for change of plea. Acknowledgment of rights and plea agreement ordered filed. The Court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant sworn and understands the rights he is waiving. The Court inquires. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of deceptive practices, a misdemeanor. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. The parties agree there is no necessity for a PSI and are ready for sentencing. Recommendations by counsel pursuant to plea agreement. The court sentences defendant to LCJ for six months, all suspended.
-State of Montana vs Eric Wright; the matter before the court is for change of plea. Acknowledgment of rights and plea agreement filed Jan. 31, 2012. The court orders even though the plea agreement was filed, the court authorizes defendant’s signature being appended to the document. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant sworn and understands the rights he is waiving. The court inquires. Defendant admits committing the offense of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. PSI ordered. Sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, at 9 a.m.
-State of Montana vs Arnold Sherwood; the matter before the court is for hearing on merits. Counsel indicates defendant will be admitting some of the allegations. Defendant is sworn. The court finds the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. The parties are prepared for disposition. Recommendations by counsel. The court sentences defendant to three years MSP. Defendant is to receive full credit for all time while in custody. If defendant is released before his three years, the court recommends all original conditions be re-imposed.

-George Evans; 44. Operating without liability insurance in effect - third or subsequent offense. Fined $500 and 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended. Driving under the influence of alcohol - first offense. Fined $1,000 and 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended and one day credited.
-Allena Roberts; 27. Driving without a valid driver’s license. Fined $350 and 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.
-Deborah Wiedrich; 56. Dogs off leash. Fined $50.
-Andrea Corpron; 27. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 BAC or greater - second offense. Fined $600 and 180 days in jail with 175 days suspended. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $150 and 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended.
-Blanche Gobert; 82. Owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance - first offense. Fined $150. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. If provide proof of valid driver’s license by March 7, then jail is waived.
-Megan Richardson; 21. ROW Violation - failure to yield to vehicle on through highway. Fined $50.
-Deborah Wiedrich; 56. Violation of DFWP rules and regulations. Fined $50.
-Herbert Sias; 38. Failure to have a child under the age of 6 or less than 60 pounds properly restrained. Fined $50. Failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle - owner or operator - first offense. Fined $150.
-Arthur Dunkerson; 39. Criminal trespass to property. Sentenced to 180 days in jail with 172 days suspended.
