Ronan
Here we are, almost into April already. Last week, I commented on how nice the weather was, and it turned lousy; so this week, I’m going to say how nice the lousy weather is.
There were 21 people here for the card games last week. Phil Grant provided the lunch, Esther Bick won the door prize, Ray Salomon had the high score, Marlys Hoeldt had the low score, and Carrie Faulkerson had the most pinochles.
This group of card players meet every Monday at the various Senior Citizens in Charlo, Dixon Ronan and St. Ignatius, and are always happy to have others join them. They will be starting to play again in evenings (7 p.m.) in the month of April. If you would like to join them call your local center to see where they will be playing next.
Our monthly birthday dinner is this Friday at noon. We will be having a great roast beef dinner, and some great music for you to listen to. We will be having our Easter dinner on Wednesday, April 4, at noon. Please come on in and join us for a great ham dinner.
With a new month approaching, we will be starting our monthly regulars all over again. The board meeting will be on Monday, April 2, The veterans rep and the evening meal will be on Thursday, April 12, the foot clinic will be on Wednesday, April 18, and our birthday dinner will be on Friday, April 27.
If you need a ride to a medical or other appointment give the COA a call at 676-2368, and they can make the arrangements for you. Please call as soon as you can, as last minute trips are hard to set up. You can also call them if you have some extra time and would like to volunteer to be a driver for them. They supply the car and the gas, you just need to donate the time.
We are still collecting cans to be recycled. There is a drop off point behind the center. The Mother’s Day luncheon is in planning stages, and I will let you know more about it later.
Our menu for the next week is: Wednesday (28th) is ham and noodle casserole, Friday (30th) is roast beef, Monday (2nd) is beef stroganoff, Wednesday (4th) is ham and Friday (6th) is sloppy Joes.
Come on in and join us for a great meal and fellowship. Have a great week, and enjoy the lousy weather.
