Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place April 19.

-State of Montana vs. Scott Koplin; the matter before the court is sentencing. For the offense of Burglary, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for a term of eight years, with four suspended.

-State of Montana vs. Yancy McCrea; the matter before the court is a change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs, a felony. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Thursday, May 24 at 9 a.m.

Lake County District Court, Judge McNeil presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place April 18.

-State of Montana vs. Arnold McDonald; the matter before the court is sentencing. Recommendations pursuant to plea agreement. The court sentences defendant to LCJ for six months with all suspended by five days on Count I and commits defendant to DOC for five years with all suspended on Count III. The sentence imposed in Count III is to run concurrent with the sentence imposed in Count I. The five days of jail are to be completed within 90 days of today’s date.

-State of Montana vs. Dorene Bourdon; the matter before the court is hearing on merits. Counsel indicates defendant is prepared to make admissions. Defendant is sworn. The court finds the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s suspended sentence is revoked. The parties are prepared for sentencing. Recommendations by counsel. The court commits defendant to DOC for three years. Defendant is to receive full credit for all time while in custody.

-State of Montana vs. Jack Whaling; the matter before the court is sentencing. Recommendations by counsel pursuant to plea agreement. The court defers imposition of sentence for three years. As conditions, defendant is ordered to serve 60 days in LCJ within six months. Restitution of $500 to be paid within one year of today’s date and all conditions in the plea agreement are incorporated by reference.

Lake County Justice Court, Judge Wall presiding

-Mary Frostad-Watt; 36. Reckless driving - first offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $300 and 90 days in jail with 90 suspended.

-Michael White; 22. Partner or family member assault - first offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $300 and 365 days in jail with 350 days suspended. Credited with time served.

-Rose Garrison; 26. Owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance - second offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $350.

-Kurt Miller; 60. Careless driving, a misdemeanor. Fined $50.

-Toby Kovarik; 22. Operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater - first offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $400.

-Arthur White; 21. Operating without liability insurance in effect - second offense, a misdemeanor. Fined $350 and 180 days in jail with 178 suspended.

Booked into county jail

*The following people were booked into Lake County Jail April 16-23. All are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

-Dominick Buccelli; 18. Arrested on-site for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and possessing alcohol or an intoxicant.

-Kalem Branson; 30. Arrested on-site for a parole violation, a felony.

-Jennifer Hammond; 30. Arrested on-site for resisting arrest, a misdemeanor and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

-Christopher Porter; 31. Arrested on-site for PFMA - reasonable apprehension, a misdemeanor.
