Johnny Lee Kelly

| May 9, 2012 11:47 PM

Johnny Lee Kelly, 58, passed away April 29 at his home near Ronan.

A member of the Blackfeet tribe, he was born to Dorce Jack and Edith Charlene (Nequette) Kelly on Dec. 27, 1953 in Ronan. John was raised locally on the Flathead Reservation and in Drummond. He logged with his uncle in his younger years and was a carpenter.

John married Francene Burland. The love of John’s life was his family. His wife Francene meant the world to him and his grandson Brandis was his heart. John loved his mom, brothers and sisters — family was everything to him.

Collections and animals were another passion. His animals, other peoples animals, stray animals, he took care of them all. We will miss him forever and always but we have our memories of his kind and gentle heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, but leaves behind his mother Charlene Caldwell of Polson; his wife Francene of Ronan; his sons Raymond Oschmann of Bakersfield, Calif., and Kenneth Oschmann of Billings; brothers Wes (Andrea) Thomas and Gyme Kelly; sisters Julie Zachariasen, Mercy Kelly and Darla (Mark) Pollock; grandchildren Brandis Black, Tyler, Thomas, Brittany and Taya Oschmann as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service is planned for Friday. Condolences may be left at fosterfhandcrematory.com
