Lake County District Court, Judge Christopher presiding

*The following district court proceedings took place May 3.

-State of Montana vs. Roger Pablo; the matter before the court is sentencing. For the offense of Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for a term of five years with all suspended but 30 days to run concurrent with the sentence in DC-09-164.

-State of Montana vs. Ronald Joe Martin; the matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, a felony. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Thursday, July 5 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Aug. 27 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Kenneth Arcand; the matter before the court is sentencing. For the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for a term of 13 months. In addition the defendant is committed to the DOC for a term of four years with all suspended.

*The following district court proceedings took place May 2.

-State of Montana vs. John Graves; the matter before the court is arraignment and change of plea. It had been indicated that parties have reached a plea agreement. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Argeement is ordered filed. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. Defendant admits committing the offenses of Theft, a felony, Count I and Criminal Mischief, a felony, Count II. The court makes its findings accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charges. Sentencing was set for Wednesday, May 9 at 8:30 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Allyson Girouard; the matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, Fourth or Subsequent Offense, a Felony, Count I. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Wednesday, June 27 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Bryce Parker; the matter before the court is arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of Criminal Endangerment, a felony, Count I, Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, count II and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, first offense a misdemeanor, Count III. The plea is entered and the case will be set for trial. The court sets this matter for omnibus hearing on Wednesday, June 27 at 9 a.m. with a jury trial commencing on Monday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Billie Jo Healy; the matter before the court is change of plea. Acknowledgement of Rights and Plea Agreement is ordered filed. The court has reviewed and accepts the plea agreement. The Defendant is sworn and understands the rights she is waiving. The court inquires. The court grants the state’s motion to so amend. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of Criminal Endangerment, a felony, Count I. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Wednesday, June 13 at 9 a.m.

-State of Montana vs. Jenna Fenton; the matter before the court is hearing on merits. Council indicates defendant is prepared to make admissions today. Defendant is sworn. The court finds the admissions are sufficient and the defendant’s deferred sentence is revoked. The parties are prepared for sentencing. Recommendations by counsel. The court commits the defendant to DOC on Count I for five years and on Count II for five years. The sentence imposed on Count II is to run concurrent to the sentence imposed on Count I. Defendant is to receive credit for all time while in custody.

Lake County Justice Court, Judge Wall presiding

*The following Lake County Justice Court proceedings took place April 27-May 3.

-Christy Urban; 25. Driving without a valid driver’s license - expired more than 180 days. Fined $150 and 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

-Johnathan Salway; 28. Obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. Fined $200 and forfeit bonds of $500 and 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended.

-Jenna Ness-Meumann; 24. Driving without a valid driver’s license. Fined $350 and 180 days in jail with 173 days suspended.

-Casey Brandt; 33. Driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. Fined $250 and 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. Completed on May 2. Operating with expired registration - failure to reregister. Fined $50.

-Joseph Geldrich; 35. Reckless driving - first offense. Fined $300 and 90 days in jail with 90 suspended.

-Miriah Kipp; 25. Failure to have child under 6 years old and less than 60 pounds properly restrained. Fined $50.

-Kathrine Dagnall; 28. Improper passing - highway ahead obstructed. Fined $50.

-Kathlyn Kelly; 19. Operating without liability insurance in effect - first offense. Fined $150.

-Michael Gardner; 19. Failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle - owner or operator - first offense. Fined $150.

-Gregory Jewell; 35. Owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance - third and subsequent offense. Fined $450 and 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended.

Ronan City Court, Judge Bartels presiding

*The following Ronan City Court proceedings took place April 18-May 8.

-Bruce Strawn; 59. False reports to law enforcement authorities (to implicate another, false incident, etc). Fined $50.

-Yvonne Mcleod; 23. Fail to carry proof of exhibit/insurance in vehicle – owner or operator – second offense. Fined $350 and 10 days in jail with 10 suspended.

-Tracy Vanness; 32. Operating without liability insurance in effect – first offense. Fined $250 and 10 days in jail with 10 suspended.

Booked into county jail

*The follow people were booked into county jail between April 30-May 6. All are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

-Misty Truitt; 36. Arrested on warrant for a probation violation, a misdemeanor, and criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

-David Weinandy; 65. Arrested on-site for PFMA - minor inj/physical contact, a misdemeanor. Tamper w/communication device, a misdemeanor.
