Larsson wins essay contest

BILLINGS — On Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Montana State DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) awards ceremony held in Billings, Patrick S. Larsson, a 14-year-old resident of St. Ignatius, won first place in the Christopher Columbus essay contest (open to grades 9-12) for his essay entitled “Christopher Columbus: In His Own Time, In History, and Today.”

For winning at the state level, Patrick was awarded a certificate and a check for $25.
