I would like to thank all who worked on our spaghetti fund raiser last Saturday, and to those who came to eat and donate to the Center. We did not have as good a turnout as we had hoped for, but we had a great time.

The Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday of this week, and we hope that you all have a great Thanksgiving. Don’t forget about the Thanksgiving dinner at the Community Center. That is a great bunch of volunteers, and the always put on a wonderful meal.

We served a total of 112 people for our Thanksgiving dinner last week. This number includes both the meals served at the Center and our home delivered meals.

New West Insurance will be here at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, the 26th. The time to change your Medicare Supplemental Insurance is about up, so come on in and talk to them about any changes that you want to make. You don’t need an appointment for this.

Our birthday dinner will be at noon, on Friday, the 30th.

Starting in December, the card players will meet here at 1:30 on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.

Our menu through the end of the month: Fri.(23rd) we are closed, Mon.(26th) is Mac ‘n’ cheese, Wed.(28th) is

baked beans and polish sausage, and Fri.(30th) is roast beef.

On Nov. 24th we are planning an evening of Bingo games, and invite everyone to come out for the 6 p.m. Saturday evening dinner, and to enjoy an hour or so of Bingo following the meal.  We usually begin play by 6:30 p.m. or a few minutes after. If the interest and turn-out is good we’ll continue on the 2nd and 4th Saturday evenings following the dinner. It takes only 12 or 15 people playing to make a lively evening.  You might

just win the jackpot!

The Center is in need of three new volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors.  Meetings are held at 11 a.m. the first Monday of each month.

Our thanks to the back-up cooks for a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner on November 14.  They quickly stepped in to complete preparations and serve a wonderful meal, when both of the regular cooks were ill the same day.
