Linda Diane Payson

Linda Diane Payson, age 54, of Kenner, La., passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sept. 19 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Polson. Linda was born on February 24, 1958 in Missoula to James and Virginia Payson. Linda received her B.A. in education at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., and then continued on to receive her M.ED. at William Carey University in Gulfport, Miss.. She worked as art teacher in both public and private schools throughout Louisiana and Texas. For the past twenty years, she was an art teacher for the gifted and talented in Jefferson Parish, La. where her specialty in art was nature and wildlife painting and drawing. Linda during this time also spent four years in the USAF Reserves, from 1982-1986. Linda is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. James Payson of Polson, and Minneola, Fla., her fiancé Pat Bryant of Shreveport, La., her brother Steven Payson (Joy) and her nephew Erik, her aunt and uncle Robert and Mary Martin of Polson, and an aunt Susan Payson, of Portland, Ore.
