We will be starting BINGO up again on Friday, October 5th, following the noon meal.
This Friday, the 28th, is our birthday dinner. Not only will we be having a great roast beef dinner, but we will have a program sponsored by Monica Lindeen’s office. The movie is about fraud in Montana and what to do to avoid it. If you are not a regular here at the Center, give us a call at 676-2371 if you would like to attend. Please let us know by Wednesday at noon.
If you haven’t picked up your commodities yet, please do so, or call the COA at 676-2367 to make other arrangements.
Our October Board meeting will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, the 1st. If you are on the board, or have something to bring to their attention, please attend this meeting.
The Veterans Rep will be here on Thursday, the 11th, from 1 until 2 in the afternoon. That is also the day of our evening meal, and we will be serving roast pork.
The pinochle players will meet here on Monday, the 5th, at 7 p.m.
Our menu for the following week: Wed.(26th) is a breakfast taco and quiche, Fri.(28th) is roast beef, Monday (Oct. 1st) is beef stew and
cinnamon rolls, Wed.(3rd) is Salisbury steak, and Fri.(5th) is Sausage gravy and biscuits.
Come on in and join us, to eat, play pool, visit with friends, and to play BINGO on Fridays.

Just a friendly reminder, that dues for the upcoming year are due. To those of you who have paid, thank you very much and for those of you who need or would like to pay, we are here from 8 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday. If you are new to the area, please stop by and have a visit with us. We are always happy to make a new friend and possibly a new member to the Center. We are located at 504 3rd Ave. East and would love to make your acquaintance. We look forward to seeing you!
We would like to thank Joe Paulson for his donation of eggs month after month. You truly know the meaning of giving and our Nutrition Program can’t thank you enough. To our Super 1 benefactor, thank you for your generosity. You are another one who gives from the heart.
There isn’t much going on right now, so if you have any suggestions for the newsletter, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do. You all have a really great week and enjoy this glorious weather and we’ll talk again soon.
Now for some card scores. Bridge for September 14th had Dean Greiner first and Dee Peterson second and on September 18th Bob Gorsuch was first and Millie Mielke took second. Pinochle scores for September 13th had Dee Adams first and Pete Daniels second and for the 20th Alice Grilley was first and Gracie Schumacher was second.

St. Ignatius
The time and date for flu shots at the St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center has been changed to Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Bring your Medicare cards. The Amish singers will entertain diners that same day during the evening meal beginning at 5:30 p.m.
A foot clinic will be held this Friday, Sept. 28, beginning at 10 a.m. at the center. Come and get your toe nails clipped. A 40th anniversary of the center celebration will be held during the evening meal on Wednesday, Oct. 17, with music by Tim Krantz and Lyle Cronk.
The annual fall rummage sale will be held from Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Saturday, Oct 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Good clean donations are being accepted. A bake sale will be held that Friday. A fun Activity Day will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. Activities will include Wii bowling and card and board games. Suggestions are sought for activities days. Anyone with suggestions is asked to call Marian Sands at 745-2367.
Movies will again be shown at the center but movie times have moved to Monday afternoons. The first movie will be “We Are Marshall” a 1 p.m. on Oct. 15. Popcorn and refreshments will be available.
