Despite the hot weather, attendance has been up here at the Center. We have great people working in the kitchen, and we sure do appericate all of their hard work. It isn’t easy to work in a hot kitchen during the Summer, and we are looking into an air conditioning / heating unit to make things a little easier on all of us.
The Foot Clinic is here this week, on Wednesday, and there are still places on the list. Come on in if you want to see the nurse. Jane is here between 10 a.m. and noon. There is not a charge for this service, but donations are always appericated.
Bernadine has been moved to St. Lukes Hospital, and I’m sure that she would enjoy some more company. At last report, she was doing better.
Our birthday dinner is on the last Friday (30th) of the month. The band will be here to play some of their great music, and we start serving at noon. So, come on in and bring a guest (or two).
We have not been having Bing-O lately, and will start it up again following the meal on Friday (15th). Come on in and join the ladies.
We are still having craft days on Wednesdays. Two of our painters had pictures in the Lake County fair. Congratulations to Ann and Betty on all of the ribbons they won.

Can you believe it’s nearly time for Melon Days, which also means the Sanders County Fair is next...and back to school!
I hear the Dixon Melons are in the stores, but I haven’t yet sampled. What a fun time in this part of western Montana. They really put our little town on the map. The event which impacts our senior center will be the special dinner, where you get to see all the friends and neighbors you might not visit with the rest of the year.
Much appreciation for Diane Lindquist, capably filling in as cook while Diane Groh took a much-deserved break recently. Our center is known for serving great meals, come join us. Meals are on Mondays at 5:30, and at noon on Thursday. The menu coming up will be:
Thurs. Aug. 15 Brunch for lunch! Breakfast burrito, French toast, bacon
Mon. Aug. 19 Tilapia (fish)
